The World Championship will consist of 17 rounds starting in January in Mexico and running until July.

Brazilian driver Sérgio Sette Câmara from Belo Horizonte announced on Friday (22) his contract renewal with the NIO333 Racing team for the 2024 season of the Formula E World Championship. Currently 25 years old, Sérgio will enter his fifth season in the international competition next year, alongside his teammate Dan Ticktum, representing the colors of the Chinese team, which operates technically out of England.

Sérgio faced a challenging year in 2023, the ninth season of Formula-E. With the introduction of new cars in the category, the team’s and his personal adaptation period was longer than he would have liked, and as a result, the results took some time to materialize. However, despite the challenges, the Brazilian had a season in which he significantly improved his performance, occasionally qualifying for the duels in the qualifying sessions and scoring points on a few occasions.

“I’m very happy to have renewed my contract with NIO and continue with them for another season of the World Championship. Certainly, for the upcoming competition, we already have much more experience with the equipment, knowledge of the engineers, mechanics, and all the staff that make up our team. I have everything I need to have a better season than in 2023, and we’ll strive for better and, above all, more consistent results throughout the rounds,” said the 25-year-old driver.

Regarding preparations for the 10th season of Formula-E, Sette Câmara concluded, “We have already begun preseason work both at the team’s headquarters and in private tests we are conducting. I believe in the potential of our team and in the application of the experience we gained during the 2023 competitions. Next month, between October 23rd and 27th in Valencia, Spain, we will have the collective preseason tests when we will truly assess our position in the context of the Championship for next year.”
