After a marathon of 6 races in Berlin, the Brazilian is back in the F1 paddock

The sixth season of the FE World Championship ended on Thursday (13). The competition that introduced electric cars to the world had to reinvent itself and, to close the year of competitions, held six races in just nine days. In the city of Berlin, on the circuit set up at the former Tempelhof airport, three different circuits were used where drivers and teams faced the challenges.

Having his debut with this type of equipment, the Brazilian driver Sérgio Sette Câmara, on board the # 6 car of the North American team GEOX Dragon, showed great evolution and, above all, showed his versatility on the tracks.

The 10th and 11th stages of the Championship were held last Wednesday and Thursday. More adapted to the car and better understanding the limits of the German track technique, Sette gave the team the best starting results of the team this season. In both the tenth stage and the eleventh stage, the 22-year-old managed to qualify in ninth place for the races.

In the course of the races, however, the tyrewear meant that in both circumstances the car lost a lot of performance and many positions. In Wednesday’s race, Sérgio finished 15th and, in Thursday’s, 19th.

“I am very happy with the six races here in Berlin, especially on the last two tracks. I recorded the best starting positions for the team for the entire season and, in the first part of the races, when we had newer tyres, I managed to show speed, constancy and look for positions. In these situations I managed to stay in the TOP10 and fought head to head with cars from top teams, which for me was a great experience. I want to thank everyone who cheered for me and, even more, voted for me to be one of the winners of FanBoost in my first race ”, commented the driver.

BACK TO F-1

A few hours after leaving the cockpit of his FE car, Sette Câmara was already boarding at Berlin airport on his way to Barcelona, Spain. That’s because, since Friday morning, he has joined the Alpha Tauri team again to perform his duties as an F1 test driver.

Sérgio will remain with the team throughout the weekend and will be available again in case of any problem with any of the starting drivers, whether from the Red Bull team or Alpha Tauri.

At the end of the month, between August 28 and 30, Sérgio will be in Japan when he will compete in the Motegi Circuit for the opening round of the Super Formula Championship.
