Sixth in the standings, the Brazilian driver expects a good result on a well-known track

Three days after leaving France, the stage for the fifth round of the F2 World Championship, the Brazilian driver Sérgio Sette Câmara (YOUSE | Banco BMG | MRV | CCR | GASMIG | Usiminas) landed on Wednesday in Spielberg, Austria, where he will compete this weekend for the 11th and 12th stages of the Championship.

Coming from an outstanding performance Sette now comes to one of the tracks that he knows best. In the Red Bull Ring race track, he has participated in six European F3 races and two World F2 races in the last three years . The Austrian circuit is owned by the energy drinks giant and it has 4,326 meters. With mid-high-speed characteristics, the circuit has only nine corners, and turn eight is one of the fastest in the championship where the F2 cars reach more than 250 km / h.

Currently in the sixth position in the standings with 68 points, Sérgio’s goals are very optimistic for this round that marks the halfway point of the Championship. He is just three points behind fifth place, five behind the fourth and seven from the third. So, naturally, the total focus of the races will be to conquer as many points as possible to get even higher in the standings. It is worth mentioning that in each round, a maximum of 48 points can be scored and, in this way, the chances of a driver recovering are really good.

“I’m very excited for another round of the Championship. Our car has been very fast and very reliable. We had a fast set in every round of the year and I honestly believe that here it will be no different. I have already participated in several races on this track and I know the track well. This makes me comfortable to do my best and, consequently, we can score many points, “said the 20-year-old.
