Sérgio Sette Câmara (Super Formula), Felipe Drugovich (F 2) and Gabriel Bortoleto (F 4) were the creators of the competition

In a moment never before seen in modern human history, a pandemic spreads fear and uncertainty in every corner of the planet. Health systems in several countries have already collapsed, most of the world is experiencing moments of social isolation and many people will not be able to resume their activities when this is over.

With this in mind, three of the most promising drivers of the new generation of Brazilian motorsport have come together to hold a virtual competition and raise money for the fight against this terrible disease. The ambassadors of RACE FOR HEALTH are driver Sérgio Sette Câmara (Super Formula), Felipe Drugovich (F 2) and Gabriel Bortoleto (F 4) who, by personal invitations, are adding a renowned group of sports stars, from Brazil and from the rest of the world, for an exciting dispute.

All donations will go to the Coronavirus Crisis Fund for MSF – Medecins Sans Frontieres, an international humanitarian aid organization that brings health care to people affected by humanitarian crises. Right now, in addition to the nearly 500 regular MSF projects, the organization is responding to the COVID-19 pandemic in more than 50 countries, including Brazil.

The RACE FOR HEALTH will be held on May 1st, at 6 pm, and will be broadcasted on the website Motorsport.com and Band Sports (Brazil). Acclaimed names of the sport such as Rubens Barrichello, Helio Castroneves, Felipe Nasr, Antônio Felix da Costa (Portugal), Tom Dilmann (France), Richard Verschoor (Netherlands) among others will share the track with the new stars of the sport such as Caio Colet , Victor Franzoni, Dudu Barrichello, Matheus Leist, among many others. As a tribute to Ayrton Senna’s legacy, the competition is supported by Senna Brands.

The race will take 1h30 minutes and the participants will compete in pairs, in the traditional Le Mans 24 Hours circuit. In an innovative way the formation of the starting grid will be defined by the number of donations. In partnership with the Meep Donate platform, each driver will be able to register the donations individually for his car and, with that, 30 minutes before the start of the event, the donations will be counted until that moment and the starting grid will be defined.

To generate greater reality and credibility, the event will use the IRacing software as a base and the event organization is under the responsibility of IRB Esports and KTF Sports.

Driver participation in the event is restricted to guests and will be limited. So far, in addition to some names that are still analyzing agendas, the following races have already confirmed:

.: MSF – Medecins Sans Frontieres :.

MSF – Medecins Sans Frontieres is an international humanitarian organization that brings health care to people affected by serious humanitarian crises. It is also the mission of MSF to draw attention to the difficulties faced by patients treated in its projects.

The organization was created in 1971, in France, by young doctors and journalists, who volunteered in the late 1960s in Biafra, Nigeria. While assisting victims in the midst of a brutal civil war, professionals realized the limitations of international humanitarian aid: the difficulty of access to the site and the bureaucratic and political obstacles, which caused many to remain silent, even in the face of glaring situations. MSF emerges, then, as a humanitarian organization that combines medical aid and public awareness of the suffering of its patients, giving visibility to realities that cannot remain neglected.
