The Hungaroring racetrack, in the neighborhood of Budapest, will host the second round of the European F3 Championship

Three weeks after the opening of the calendar, with disputes within France, the European F3 Championship follows this weekend for Eastern Europe. On the racetrack of the traditional circuit of the Hungaroring in the surroundings of Budapest (Hungary), the continental competition will host the races of the  fourth, fifth and sixth rounds.

In his second season in the championship, the Brazilian pilot Sergio Sette Câmara (Red Bull / Petrobras  Cemig / Mercantil do Brasil), member of the Red Bull Junior Team, will have as the great challenge of the round the dispute on a track where he has never competed.

The Hungaroring racetrack was inaugurated in 1985 and, since 1986,  it hosts annually the F1 World Championship. With old features caompared to today’s standards,  its 4,381 meters layout has as striking features the difficulty of overtaking and the narrow width of the track.

Serginho, however, is quite relaxed and focused on the continuation of the Championship.” It is always a different challenge to compete on a track for the first time. Based on the layout, the track has features that I like such as very technical curves. I had a few sessions on the simulator to familiarize myself with the circuit and I hope, in the collective training, be able to adapt permanently to the stroke”, commented the 17-year pilot.

The collective tests were performed exactly this Wednesday (20th). Sette Câmara and the Motopark Academy team worked fairly objectively in seeking an  ideal tuning of the car. Consistently, the objective was achieved and, with the time of 1m33s660, Serginho secured the first place in the practice and, therefore, he moves on with a very positive parameter to the official activities of the second round of the Championship

The three races of the weekend will be broadcasted live by the official website of the competition available emwww.fiaf3europe.com
