The Brazilian driver Sette Câmara will dispute the seventh round, valid for the 13th and 14th stages of the year

This weekend, between July 28 and July 30, the Hungaroring Race Track in Budapest – Hungary will host the activities of the seventh double round of the F2 World Championship. The 20 drivers will face the challenges of a traditional track that has already received historical motorsport disputes.

This is the debut season in F2 for the Brazilian driver Sérgio Sette Câmara (ACER | CCR | SANEPAV | TAESA | CEMIG | BELL) and the last step before reaching the maximum level in the motorsport world, so he arrives in Hungary very excited.

After experiencing a significant growth in the Azerbaijan and Austrian stages, the Dutch team MP Motorsport failed to get a good set up of the car #14 for the Silverstone activities two weeks ago. So, the engineers, mechanics and the driver himself were very committed to having everything ready for another important weekend of competition.

The Hungaroring race track is one of the most iconic circuits in the world of motorsports. A constant stage for the F1 World Championship races. It was exactly on this track, that in 1986, Nelson Piquet made the memorable overtaking on Ayrton Senna from the outside, and won the Grand Prix that year.

With its 4,381 meters, the track has six turns to the right, eight to the left and the cars race in a clockwise direction. In each lap there are 36 gear changes and 53% of the time in each lap, the drivers are at full throttle. In 2016 the races were won by Pierre Gasly (Prema) and Sergey Sirotkin (ART GP). Jordan King, Serginho’s teammate this season, was the second place in last year’s second race and his experience could be of great help for Sette Câmara’s performance this weekend.

“Hungaroring is one of my favorite circuits. The track is very technical and, if you like to drive on the edge of the equipment, you have an ideal condition here. I’ve been here for the F3 and, in the simulator, I practiced a lot too. I’m excited because, before the race in England, we were in a good ascending streak in the Championship. I want to focus my efforts on finishing the two races in the scoring zone and, with that, to continue in the championship having more confidence after the break in August “, commented the representative of ACER | CCR | SANEPAV | TAESA | CEMIG | BELL.
