Excited by his podium sequence, Sérgio Sette wants the first victory of the season
This weekend the F2 World Championship will land on the legendary Autodromo di Monza in northern Italy. The track, one of the most traditional of the motorsport world, will receive the tenth double round of the competition with races valid for the 19th and 20th stages.
In a moment of recovery in the Championship and especially coming in a sequence of podiums, Brazilian driver Sérgio Sette Câmara (YOUSE | Banco BMG | MRV | CCR | CEMIG | GASMIG | Usiminas | Americanet | Lubrax) is very excited for the weekend in Monza.
The Italian track is the fastest in the Championship. In its length of almost six kilometers there are only five corners and three chicanes for speed break. One of the biggest challenges of the teams is to adjust the cars so that, with the least aerodynamic drag possible, they achieve the ideal balance for the long straight lines, without compromising it in the corners.
Expert on high speed tracks, Sette believes that the Monza weekend may bring even more excitement to the Championship. Last season, while still competing for the modest MP Motorsport team, the Brazilian had a great weekend finishing the round on the podium in a celebrated second place.
“I’m very excited for this weekend. Our car has been very fast on the different types of tracks we have faced during the season and because of that, it is only natural that we are confident. I’ve been on the podium several times this year and of course I’m going to the track pursuing my first victory in 2018. I have several very strong competitors, the fight for the first positions of the Championship is very intense, but, above all, I trust my team and my potential to continue to seek the best positions, “said the 20-year-old.
