In the Barcelona’s Circuit, the Brazilian driver completed more than 800 km

The first round of FIA F2 pre-season testing ended on the afternoon of Wednesday (15) in the Circuit de Catalunya in Spain. The old GP 2 Series realize, after F1 pre-season, the first three days of official tests of the preseason and had the participation of 20 drivers.

As the only Brazil’s representative confirmed to this F2’ season’s, the Brazilian Sergio Sette Câmara (SANEPAV | Bell) took command of car # 14 from team MP Motorsport and followed with great attention and discipline, all guidance and techincs of his new Dutch team.

In a schedule that included three days of tests, divided into six sessions, the MP Motorsports, with his engineers and drivers, assembled a schedule aimed at adapting the drivers to the car, adjust details that can be used throughout the year and simulate situations of qualifying and races.

Without the main concern to achieve a good result at this moment, with quiet and calm each point of planning was being accomplished. Sérgio, coming  from F3, will have as one of his challenges of the season accomplishes need to adapt to the tracks in just 30 minutes before the qualifying sessions begins. So, one of the main tasks of the Brazilian to focus on maximum level and extract, in the shortest time possible, the full potential of strength and aerodynamics, the car could explore.

During the three-days Sette Câmara completed 172 laps representing thus more than 800 kilometers. Because it is an official test all teams were present, but always the first reference is in the car of his side, namely, the teammate. Jordan King, who will be at MP Motorsport throughout the season, has in 2017 his third year in the class. His experience, however, was not enough to prevent Sette Camera from being the fastest in two of the three days of testing, thus generating the feeling of a good start to work.

“We had very intense days here in Barcelona. Everyone is very focused and, above all, committed to offer a fast, reliable and competitive equipment. However, without forgetting the natural learning for a first season. We were able to accomplish everything that we have planned for testing and, even though I had some brake problems this morning, that stopped me spending the tires in colder track time, managed to do a really nice time. In racing simulations I still need to get used to how to save more tires doing it, I get a constant. It’s part of learning. Finish the job here happy and, of course, with the head to the Bahrain in two weeks “, finished the 18-year-old driver.

At the end of the month, on days 29, 30 and 31, the Sahkir, Bahrain track, welcomes the last three days of preseason practice of FIA F2.
