This Thursday (09), in Amsterdam, in the Netherlands, the MP Motorsport team  met in its seat several journalists, pilots and opinion formers from international motorsport for the official launch of the car that will compete during the 2017 season.

On the day the FIA International Automobile Federation officially announced the renaming of the GP2 Series for FIA F2 the  European team officially introduced the car with which the Brazilian pilot Sergio Sette Câmara (SANEPAV | BETA CLEAN) will compete in this year.

Coming from two seasons in the European F3 Championship and an exalted podium in the World Cup of F3, in Macao last November, the Belo Horizonte appears as the sole representative of Brazil in this in this season which is the main category for  access to World -1.

The F-2  car is the purest representation of a race car. The Dallara chassis, manufactured in carbon fiber, hives are driven by Renault engines of 4.0 L V8 and 610 HP’s power. Depending on the circuit these cars reach a top speed of 330 km/h, The six-speed gear is driven  by butterflies behind the wheel and the tires are supplied in different compounds by Pirelli.

The F2 Championship, like in previous years, will have their competitions held during the same events from the world  F1, becoming a great showcase for the main category of Motorsport. The evidence is accompanied, on average, by more than 100000 people each weekend and, in Brazil, will be broadcasted a live on the channel by signatures SPORTV.

Along side  Sette Câmara, on the MP Motorsport, there will bethe English Jordan King. In his third season in the League the pilot emerges as one of the big names in the category for 2017. With his experience his can  help immensely in the development of Sérgio ieither with the exchange of information within the team, or even as a great goal to be reached.

The 2017 season of F2 will consist of 11 rounds doubles events. The weekends of competition are structured with only a free practice, a session for takings of times and  the two races. The first with 1 hour of duration, usually held on Saturdays, and the second one with 45 minutes of duration, held on Sundays.

The pre-season of the F2 will be composed of only six days of collective tests. The engines will roar ion March 13, 14 and 15, in Barcelona, Spain. Then, at the end of the month, on days 29, 30 and 31, the tests will be completed in Sahkir track in Bahrain.

We have only six days of pre-season and I sincerely hope make the most of my time on the track for the car and also work in the settings for the whole year. I did tests with the MP, in Abu-Dhabi and, now, my focus is 100% on the season. I dedicated myself to the physical and mental preparation over the last few months, as well as, in tests in Simulator.
