The Brazilian pilot started yesterday the practice sessions  and he already stands out among the 29 participants

The official programming of the Macao F3 63rd GP Started on Thursday (17). One of the most important F3 competitions of the world, this year receives the seal of the FIA, is being held for another year on the Guia Circuit. The track, mounted on the streets of the Chinese city, hosts this year 29 pilots from all over the world.

After completing last month the disputes of his second season in the F3 European Championship, the Brazilian pilot Sérgio Sette Câmara (Red Bull | Petrobras | Cemig | Mercantil do Brasil), Member of the Red Bull Junior Team, is for the second time in his career in the disputes in the important competition.

With the technical support from the English team Carlin, which invited him to join the strong team in the dispute of this title, the Brazilian has ambitious plans for the Championship. After a very outstanding performance in the 2015 competition, when he attained the official record of the track, Sette Camara wants to win. “We raced  very well here last year. At that time we had a car that we evolved over the weekend and, during  the race, I managed to achieve really fast laps. This year, in a new house, I am sure I can be competitive and really fight for the podium and, why not, even for the victory”,  he commented.

Since it is an isolated  competition, disputed  in a sole round in a street circuit, the Macao Grand Prix programming is quite differentiated and activities began on Thursday, with a free practice and the first qualifying session. In the practice session, Sette Câmara was focuses on readapting himself  to the track, which was still very dirty, best times were not the main goal. Already in the first qualifying session, with the car more tuned, the pilot made a good lap and, with the time of 2m12s0 he assured the sixth fastest time.

On Friday, things promise to be a little different. The weather forecast is for rain which, according to experts, should remain throughout the weekend. Thus, adjustments and first works on Friday can help for the final tunings for the Saturday and Sunday races.

Disputes will be broadcasted live on the website of the competition, at the address http://www.macau.grandprix.gov.mo/gp/63/live/index.php?lang=pt
