In Silverstone – England, the temple of world auto racing, the 16-year old Brazilian will have the green light to his first full season  in the single-seaters

This weekend, in the heart of England, a 16-year Brazilian pilot will receive the green light to the most important step of his career so far. At the Silverstone race track the pilot from Minas Gerais,  Sérgio Sette Câmara (Banco Mercantil of Brazil Lalubema) will perform the first triple round of the European F-3 Championship.

With an extensive career, when he went through every stage of karting, Sette Câmara began his disputes in single-seater racing in the middle of last year. For the Brazil F3 the pilot disputed some races when he won podiums and achieved the pole position in the last race of the year.

After this stage the pilot was invited by the German team Motopark Academy to be part of its team for o the 2015 season of F3 FIA European Championship. The competition, the world’s most representative in this category, shall have in 2015 a grid composed of 36 competitors from all continents of the world.

Since his hiring, Sette Camara had with team Motopark the experience of several days of tests. These sessions took place at the end of last year, during the collective practice sessions  held in March or, still, in the races he disputed in New Zealand, for the Toyota Racing Series. The Brazilian is certainly one of the competitors most prepared for this year’s disputed. Counting with the experience of his driver coach, Roberto Streit, Serginho is one of the great promises of the Brazilian auto racing. Aware of his beginner status, in 2015, he certainly will accumulate an experience without equal for the continuation of his career.

“This weekend, once again, I shall my dream come true. I’m starting a highest level competition, against the key competitors in the world and I’m sure I will have a lot to learn. The professionalism and competitiveness here are raised to the maximum level and, to reach F1, going through this category becomes an almost mandatory step. I have prepared myself enough in pre-season and I am sure that, race by race,  we  will achieve a  remarkable growth throughout the year”, commented the representative of Banco Mercantil of Brazil.

The official program for this first weekend of competition begins next Friday, with two practice sessions and the taking of times sessions. The first two races of the Championship will be held on Saturday and, finally, on Sunday, the program will be closed with the third race.
