MRV Engenharia, the largest residential construction company in Latin America, has just signed a sponsorship agreement with Formula 2 driver Sérgio Sette Câmara and his team, Carlin Motorsport. Until the end of this year, the company’s brand is going be featured in Sette’s car, overalls, helmet, caps and shirts.
According to MRV’s marketing director, Rodrigo Resende, the company is proud to have been investing in sport for over 20 years and the choice of Sérgio Sette Câmara was because of his profile. “The driver represents Brazil in this sport and, as well as MRV’s clients, is young and is looking for a successful career and the fulfillment of his dreams. He is part of a new generation of drivers seeking chance in Formula 1, we hope he can move up to this category in 2019, “says the executive. Rodrigo also says that MRV is the private company with the highest presence in sports, sponsoring 15 teams from various segments, such as: soccer, basketball, volleyball, swimming, handball, golf and tennis.
For the driver it is an honor to have the support of MRV. “Carrying the colors of such an important brand for Brazil and especially Minas Gerais fills me with pride. I thank the Company for the opportunity and hope to repay their confidence by taking the name and ideals of MRV to podiums around the world,” he says.
With the podium in the first two races, Sette Câmara occupies the third position of the championship, which is the main feeder category of F1. His team, Carlin Motorsport, is the leader with 67 points. The next stage of F2 will take place between April 27 and 29 in Baku, Azerbaijan.
