SérgioSetteCâmara, the sole Brazilian pilot in the KF category, is already on the track in Northern Italy
After a sequence of three weekends of competitions, where he could develop and prepare his equipment for the season the pilot from Minas Gerais, SérgioSetteCâmara (BancoMercantil do Brasil | CEMIG | TAESA | MBR | Tear Têxtil | Lalubema | PatrusTransportes | Milplan | ART), remained during the last 15 days in Barcelona, the city where he is living and this weekend he will return to the tracks, from today (10) to Sunday (13), for the WSK Master Series Super1s activities.
This Championship, which began in Sarno, on March 20, will have its second stage in the International Circuit 7 Laghi. The track, located in Castelletto di Branduzzo, in the Pavia region, in Northern Italy, is already known to Serginhofrom the recent seasons. Its design has a 1,256 meters extension, is quite challenging and adds features of medium-low speed. The design of the circuit is very technical and has several tight turns, but, on the other hand, has many points of overtaking.
To stand out in this competition,SetteCamara took advantage of the period without official races and practiced in three distinct kart tracks, all of them in Spain, where with the ART Grand Prix team sought to understand a little better the performance of his chassis as well as its heir relationship with the TM engines and Dunlop tires.
“We had during this season very different behaviors of our kart. In some races I performed quitegood, I’ve been among the top ten. However, in other races, we did not achieve a default setting for the kart and, as a result, it was not possible to be constant, which almost took me off the qualifying in two opportunities. We trained a lot in the last few weeks and I believe that, here in Castelletto, we will return to the best results and, effectively, to the fight for the podium, commented the Minas Gerais15- year pilot.”
The official program of this stage includes five free practices today, Thursday. Tomorrow will be two more practice sessions and time taking. On Saturday the pilotsriders will be subjected to three qualifying races and, finally, on Sunday, the PRe-Final and Final races will be held.
