After six races in F3 Brazil, the pilot from Belo Horizonte (Brazil) will accomplish his first competition in a racetrack remarkable for national motorsport fans.

Within two weeks, between October 10 and 12, another important step will be given in the career of the Brazilian pilot, Sergio Sette Câmara (Banco Mercantil do Brasil | CEMIG | TAESA | MBR | Tear Têxtil | Lalubema | Patrus Transportes | Milplan). In the traditional Enzo e Dino Ferrari racetrack, in the city of San Marino in Imola, he will dispute the tenth round of the Formula 3 European Championship.

The competition is currently the most important of this sport worldwide. In this context, it welcomes pilots from various parts of the world and, by its representativeness, it started to call the direct attention of the F-1 teams that see in this scenario a large storehouse of new talents to the top category of world motorsport.

After a successful career in Brazilian karting, where he won nearly all Championships he competed in, Sette Câmara went to Europe in 2012 when, at the invitation of an important chassis factory, he defended the colors of that corporation in its official team for two years achieving the high point when he won the Iame International Final on that season. After that, still in Europe, Sette Câmara kept standing out and in 2014 he was the winner of one of the stages of the popular German Karting Championship.

With all this international experience, the 16-year pilot  returned to Brazil and started disputing the F3 Brazil races, even though he did not participate In the first four steps. Facing a grid of almost 20 pilots, Sette Câmara managed to start in the front row in his debut and today, after six disputed races, he has been on the podium twice.

With a view to maintaining the first contact with the category in which he intends to compete in 2015, Sette Câmara will make his International debut at the Euro Intrnational team. In the traditional team, which uses the Dallara F-315 chassis and Mercedes-Benz engines, he will participate in two free practice sessions next week and, from Friday to Sunday he will participate in the race.

“I thank my family and sponsors for permitting this step in my career. I know I’m still young, but with determination and nerves I’m sure I can perform my best. The European F3 is today undoubtedly one of the toughest and most disputed championships in the world. Being a part of this grid, which has even an already contracted F1 pilot, will be a great honor, but above all a challenge”, he said.
