The Brazilian driver is eager to earn the F1 Super License

The Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, UAE, will once again open its gates for the final round of the F2 World Championship. After the 11 rounds, the main feeder category of the F-1 reaches the Middle East and the champion is already known, but with many important things are still at stake.

Concluding his third year in the category, the driver Sérgio Sette Câmara (YOUSE | BMG | MRV | CCR | CBMM | CEMIG | GASMIG | COPASA) is one of the competitors who are very interested in this last challenge of 2019. In Abu Dhabi, the Brazilian will try to finish the Championship in the fourth position (as he currently occupies) and thereby achieving the score needed to earn the Super License for the F1.

Sergio, who has experienced a growing season this year, has made several podiums, one pole position and one victory. Together with the French team DAMS, he is in the direct fight for the team title and, with this, will have an even greater incentive to give his best.

The Yas Marina track is one of the most modern and difficult on the current F1. In its 5,554 meters in length, there are 21 turns and the drivers stay 53% of the lap at full throttle. In all, the gears are changed 40 times on each lap and the top speed reaches 318 km / h.

“I am quite confident about this weekend’s activities. I’ve worked hard in recent weeks on both the physical condition and the simulator. I am in a delicate position in the Championship where the competitor in front of me and the one behind me are very close. So, just like in the other races, I will do my best for the best results in training and qualifying. In races, perhaps, depending on the track position, then we can think of some specific marking strategy of each competitor. But we are thinking about one thing at a time, ”commented the 21-year-old.
