Brazilian Sérgio Sette arrives at Monte Carlo in search of recovery

Two weeks after going through the Tempelhof Airport in Berlin – Germany, the Formula E World Championship lands this week on the most traditional and charming street circuit in the world – Monaco! In the streets and avenues that have already consecrated the main drivers of history the modern cars of Generation 3 of Formula-E will star in the disputes of the ninth stage of the season.

Racing for the NIO333 Racing team, the Brazilian driver Sérgio Sette Câmara will start the second half of the season confident in improvements in his GEN3 car, especially in terms of race pace. In the last rounds, both in Brazil and in Germany, it was noticeable the improvement of the equipment in qualifying situation and, in Berlin, both NIO cars went to the dueling phase. However, at a racing pace, the cars are still more sensitive and thus become easy opponents for other competitors.

The track in Monaco, well known by all drivers and speed lovers, is exactly the same used in F1 races. With a total of 3,337 meters in length, the route has 19 corners and fits like a glove for the format of the Formula E. As the competition of electric cars has the absolute majority of its circuits set on public roads in all previous editions the streets of Monte Carlo provided very exciting races.

“I am very happy to return to Monaco and, even more, at a time of growth of our performance in the season. We are excited about the improvements we have achieved in the last two stages and, for now, our focus will be beyond speed, constancy and reliability of our set also for the race. We are, both drivers and engineers, studying every detail of where we can look for performance and hope to put everything into practice in this Saturday’s race,” said the 24-year-old.

The Monaco e-Prix program will be developed throughout Saturday, May 6. Free practice will be broadcasted on YouTube through the category’s official channel and also on the Grand Prix channel. The qualifying will air on Bandsports and the Grand Prix YouTube channel, and finally the race will be broadcasted on Band, Bandsports and also on the Grand Prix YouTube channel.
