The fourth round of the F2 World Championship will be held on the traditional streets of the principality

With a completely different schedule from the rest of the season, the F2 World Championship takes to the streets of the Principality of Monaco for the seventh and eighth rounds of the World Championship. With activities starting this Thursday the Monte Carlo track will receive the 20 cars of the main Formula 1 feeder category.

The only Latin American in the the championship is the Brazilian driver Sérgio Sette Câmara (YOUSE | Banco BMG | MRV | CCR | CEMIG | GASMIG | Usiminas) who is already in the turf where Ayrton Senna wrote some of the most incredible pages of motorsport world. There he hopes, after the Spanish electronic glitches, to return to the good results of the start of the season.

Sette is on the track of Monaco for the second time in his career. Last year, still with the Dutch team, he had a very troubled participation. “We suffered a lot with the performance of the car last year. It was very difficult to make the corners. Then, in the next stage, the team came to me and informed me that they had discovered a problem in the differential of the car which prevented me from having the exact speed in the corners. “

In his favor Sérgio has some very good favorable points. The first one is his start of the season. From the first four stages of the year he ranked in the top three in three events and in the other, he finished fourth. Plus, his history on street circuits is really successful. In all his appearances at the Macau GP he has always been very good, at the Pau F3 GP he was on the podium in 2016 and, this year in Baku, he got a second position.

“I really like street circuits. In this type of track we are obliged, much more than driving in the limit, to keep our concentration level to the maximum. Any mistake can mean a serious crash which will inevitably result in a major loss for the rest of the weekend. I dedicated myself a lot to the physical preparation and the simulators. I think we have a great set to get back on the podium, “said the driver who turned 20 on Wednesday.
