With a lot of momentum in the F2, the record-holder for the Chinese track will compete in November

On Monday (11) the German team Motopark Academy announced they were hiring the Brazilian driver Sérgio Sette Câmara to compete in the 64th Macau F3 Grand Prix. Since 2016, with the status of the FIA World Cup, the competition will take place in the traditional Circuito da Guia, a street circuit, from November 17th to 19th.

The Macau GP is the most important competition of the category on the planet. The competition is part of an intense schedule that involves races in several categories and the F3 World Cup is the main event. Each year the activities of this event are attended by more than 100 thousand people and, because of that, the race is one of the main tourist attractions of the city.

Coming from a period of growth in the F2 World Championship, where he has already had a victory and a second place this year, Sette Câmara has a very successful history in Macau. In 2015 the driver set the current circuit record, competing exactly for the Motopark team and in 2016, after leading a good part of the race, he came in third representing another team.

Motopark and Vebet.com have reached a cooperation agreement which made it possible to hire Sette Câmara. VEBET.com is one of the biggest online gaming websites in Asia with more than 5 million customers all over the world.

Timo Rumpfkeil – Team founder: “We are really looking forward to launching a strong driver pairing for Macau with the support of Vebet.com. Last year, Sergio became third and made it to the podium. He still holds the record for the fastest lap time in Macau, which he set up there with us in 2016. We are confident that we will be able to present ourselves as a strong team in Macau.”

Sérgio Sette Câmara: “Macau is home to my favorite track in the world, very crooked and tight sections are cut through by a huge straight where the F3 cars reach more than 270 km/h. It’s a very exciting race and it brings back excellent memories. I was very happy with the invitation from Motopark and Vebet.com. I will work on having the best do my best result possible on the track to show how grateful I am for having trusted me.”
