Sérgio Sette Câmara aims for better results in the next four stages of the year

The F2 World Championship has landed this week at the traditional Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium, where the eighth round of the 2017 season will be hosted. The races, valid for the 15th and 16th stages of the Championship, open the second phase of the competition that will still be visiting Italy, next week; Spain in October and the United Arab Emirates in November.

Competing in his debut year in the category, Brazilian driver Sérgio Sette Câmara (ACER | CCR | SANEPAV | TAESA | CEMIG | BELL) was in Brazil during the break in F2. Together with his family and friends, the 19-year-old took advantage of his first visit to his country in 2017 to rest, attend the press and, of course, keep in shape by doing numerous go-cart training sessions.

Back to the routine on European soil, earlier this week, Sergio was focused on his routine of physical training and also on the modern simulator in which he prepares for the races. His feeling towards the circuit of Spa is very intense. It was there that he won his first European F3 podium in 2015 and, even with the difficulty of the most extensive track of the season, he is very optimistic for the race.

“I’m confident of a good result here at Spa. I really like the track. It is fast, challenging and makes us stay at the highest level of attention all the time. Despite not having achieved a good result yet, our team has already shown that it has potential to do so, just like in the Red Bull Ring, in Baku or even in Barcelona. The car has a wide range of right adjustments and I believe that with the experience of the team and my commitment we will be able to get the first points in the Championship here in Belgium “, added the 19-year-old.
