Brazilian driver comes back to the track that has great importance in his career

On this Saturday, April 30, the Principality of Monaco, on the French Riviera, will host the fourth round of the Formula E World Championship. The starry grid of the main category of electric cars of the world comes to the traditional street circuit after going to Saudi Arabia, Mexico and Italy.

Driving the car #7 of the North American team Dragon Penske, the Brazilian driver Sergio Sette Câmara, is living his second full season on the World Championship. After tough participations on the Middle East and Mexico City rounds, the Dragon equipment showed itself a little more competitive on the streets of Rome and, with that, drivers and engineers have good expectations for the Saturday Race.

Different to the first years when visiting Monaco, since last year, the F.E. races use the same track as F1, which brings even more excitement and expectation to the great legion of fans of the category, scattered around the world. Sette Câmara, even only on his second year in the category, has a good experience on the circuit. On the three years that he races of F2, the driver from Belo Horizonte has built up great mileage on the streets of Monte Carlo, and, with that, knows very well the challenges he will have to face.

“The Monaco circuit is very special to any driver, of any category of motorsport around the world. Coming in the track and driving the first few laps feels like a movie going through your head. I always remember Senna’s epic victories around here. It is truly a different emotion! On the other hand, all the times I come here, I am forced to remember that this is the kind of track that does not allow mistakes. In 2018, I broke my wrist after going off track on Sainte Devote”, said the driver, remembering a bit of his history.

After the noticeable improvement of the Penske car on the last round of the Championship, Sette believes that with dedication of his technical team, as well as all the work done in the last few days on the simulator, the possibility of achieving his first points of the year are a reality possible to happen. “Our car has had a real improvement and, in Rome, we were close to following through to the battles of Qualifying. This will be our main challenge on this weekend. As the circuit here is very narrow, the further in front you get a starting position, the bigger are your chances of a good result in the race. Our job will be all focused on this direction and I am confident that we can achieve that goal”. Concluded the 23 years old driver.
